Bringing Christ’s healing love to hurting people

Stephen Ministry began at Nativity of Our Lord in 1994 with a simple, profound calling. We recognized that life’s burdens—grief, loneliness, illness, or transition—are often carried in silence. We also recognized that God’s plan was never for us to walk alone. Christ’s love is best shared through the steady, prayerful presence of another, so we built this ministry to ensure no one in our community has to walk their path alone.

Every aspect of our ministry—from he confidential, one-on-one care provided by our trained ministers to the structured support we offer—is designed to help you feel seen, heard, and loved by God. We believe that true healing begins when we built trust through consistent, compassionate accompaniment.

Our ministers are lay members of the congregation who receive extensive training in caregiving, listening, and spiritual support. We committed to a confidential, one-to-one ministry that is tailored to your needs, meeting with you weekly for as long as your need persists.
